Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Zatway Media at zatway.com is operated by Balindiway Media. This policy explains how information is handled when you listen, sign in, create stations or publish podcasts.

For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact supportsmartradio@balindiway.com.

1. Information we handle

2. Google sign-in data

If you choose Google sign-in, Google and the authentication service provide the account identifier and profile fields you authorize. We use those details to identify your account, provide access to your studio, associate your content and membership with you, and help with account support and security.

Google handles your Google password; it is not provided to Zatway Media. Zatway Media sign-in does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts or calendars. Google account data is not sold or used for personalized advertising.

You can remove Zatway Media access in your Google Account connections. Revoking access does not itself delete information already held by Zatway Media; contact us to request deletion.

3. How information is used

We use information to provide listening and hosting features, manage sign-in and station ownership, store and play audio, operate trials and subscriptions, respond to requests, troubleshoot failures and investigate misuse. Authorized administrators can access records needed to operate and moderate the service.

4. Public content and external services

Published stations and episodes make their titles, descriptions, logos and audio available to listeners. Only publish content you intend to make public. Public content can be copied or shared by others.

Station comments show the comment text, your display name and posting time publicly. You can remove your own comments; station owners and administrators can moderate comments. Removal hides a comment from the public conversation.

You can edit your display name, company or organisation, station role, biography and public website in My profile. Your sign-in email remains part of your private account. If you enable Show my broadcaster profile on my published stations, the saved name, company, role, biography and website are shown on those stations and their shared players. You can disable that setting and save to hide the broadcaster details from subsequent public station reads. New comments use your saved display name.

During station playback, Zatway Media sends anonymous listening-session heartbeats and uses a random browser identifier to avoid counting the same browser twice on one station. Active sessions expire within two minutes without a heartbeat. Public listener statistics show only totals and approximate countries, never individual browser identifiers, IP addresses, cities or precise locations.

All hosting plans also use anonymous progress measurements to estimate total station listening hours. These use a random browser identifier, a playback session identifier and cumulative played time. The usage meter stores period-specific hashed identifiers and account aggregates, without listener IP addresses or countries. Only the signed-in account can read its aggregate hours; individual measurements are not published or exported. This duration meter is separate from the Prime/Premier listener country map.

Listener countries come from country metadata already supplied with the connection, when available, or from a country a listener optionally selects. The country selection is saved in the listener’s browser. Zatway Media does not send listener IP addresses to an external geolocation provider for this feature. When no country is available, the session is counted as an unknown country. Countries are approximate and may be self-reported. These totals cover Zatway Media website and embedded players, not external apps or direct stream URLs.

Station owners can save public support and sponsorship URLs plus private ad-scheduling settings. Eligible published stations show the saved support/sponsorship links. Clicking them connects your browser to the broadcaster's chosen external service, which applies its own payment and privacy terms. Zatway Media does not collect payment details for those external transactions. Ad schedules use saved station audio and do not send listener identities to an advertising network. Owner-only settings and save receipts are retained separately from the public links, including when a plan expires or is changed.

The optional Zatway Media AI support assistant processes your question and a limited recent conversation through the hosting platform's AI service to explain public site features. Your private account, payment records, passwords, station credentials and uploads are not automatically supplied to it. Avoid entering sensitive information; credential-like text is filtered before generation, but the filter is not a guarantee. AI answers can be incorrect. Questions and conversation inputs may be processed or temporarily cached by that AI service under its service practices.

The current chat conversation is held in the page's memory. New chat, account changes or closing/reloading the page clears that local conversation; it does not delete provider records. Zatway Media stores generated assistant replies, hashes of request/session identifiers and request content, timestamps and usage counters to return the same reply on a retry and limit misuse. Submitted raw question/history text is not stored in that request cache. Cached replies may reflect information you chose to include in a question. They are not published as station comments or made into a public conversation. These support and security records are retained as needed to operate the service; contact the privacy address below for a deletion request. Contact support opens your email app and does not automatically send the chat transcript or create a staffed live-chat connection.

When you play an external radio stream or load externally hosted media, your browser connects to that provider. The provider can receive connection details such as your IP address and applies its own privacy practices.

5. Service providers and sharing

Hosting, database, file storage, authentication and payment providers process information needed to deliver their services. These include Cloudflare R2 for hosted audio and Google and Auth0 when those sign-in options are enabled. Payment providers handle payment details through their checkout where available.

Providers may process information in different countries. We may also disclose relevant records when required by law or needed to investigate abuse, protect accounts or respond to a valid rights complaint.

6. Browser storage

Zatway Media uses browser storage for saved favourites, identifiers that support resumable uploads, a random anonymous listener identifier and an optional listener-selected country. Authentication services may use cookies or similar storage to maintain sign-in sessions. Clearing browser storage can remove local preferences, upload-resume information and listener preferences.

7. Retention and deletion

Account and studio records are kept as needed to provide the service. Ending a trial or allowing a subscription to expire does not automatically delete your account or content.

To request access, correction, an export or deletion of your information, email supportsmartradio@balindiway.com from your account email address and describe the request. We may verify ownership before acting. Some payment, security and audit records may need to be retained for legal obligations or abuse prevention; provider backups and logs follow their retention cycles.

8. Security and policy changes

Zatway Media uses HTTPS and account access controls to protect private studio functions. Protect your sign-in account and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Updates to this policy will appear here with a revised date. If we change how Google data is accessed or used, we will update the disclosures and obtain any required permission before the new use.
